Dear Colleagues,

Currently, the national project “Promotion of Gender Equality in Science” (LYMOS) is starting.  The project is coordinated by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences. Among other activities, the project provides opportunities for broadening the horizons in the understanding of the problem by participating in the one-day cycle of lectures about gender equality in science. The lectures will help to learn more about gender aspects in European and Lithuanian science policies, as well as access to the planning of the scientific career. It also will give the possibility to become more familiar with good practices of Scandinavian countries advanced in the promotion of women’s careers in technical universities. Among lectures representatives of Lithuanian and Norwegian universities.

 The event will be held in Vilnius 26 of April 2012 in the premises of the VU Confucius Institute (A. Goštauto St. 12, 4th floor, room 432). The event will start at 9:00. It is organized by LYMOS project partner BASNET Forumas association.
