25 November 2021 BASNET Forum together with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport organised a remote event to present the book donation campaign for Lithuanian regional gymnasiums to the education departments of municipal administrations and school heads. The event also discussed the importance of science and gender equality for the future of Lithuania and the closely related issues of encouraging young people to take an interest in science and technology. The Minister of Education, Science and Sport, Jurgita Šiugždinienė, welcomed the participants. The President of the Association, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dalia Šatkovskienė, spoke about the BASNET Forum Association and the book donation campaign for gymnasiums initiated by it. Mr. Thomas Buffin, representative of the French Embassy in Lithuania, Director of the French Institute in Lithuania, Dr. Aurelijus Rinkevičius, Head of the CERN Centre for Nuclei and Elementary Particles at VU, Dr. Gintaras Valinčius, Director of the VU Life Centre, Ms. Agnė Vaitkevičienė, Head of the Cureline Baltic UAB, and the President of the BASNET Forum Board of Directors, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sandra Pralgauskaite, also shared their thoughts on the issues. The event was moderated by Mr. Dainoras Lukas, Advisor to the Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science.
